Bachelor’s Degree
Conversational English skills (preferred)
Knowledge of Oracle ERP system
Knowledgeable in all import/export government regulations and procedures and IMMEX Program (Mexican Import-Export Management Program)
Strong understanding of business, trading practices, laws, mathematics, and excellent communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to take input from various international participants to help set priorities
Self-starter who initiates resolution of problems
Ability to prioritize work flow and complete tasks with a high level of organization and efficiency with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Ensures compliance for customs operations
Conducts internal daily/weekly shipping meetings for import planning and follow-up
Prepares and requests necessary permits for operational compliance
Elaborates all customs paperwork
Performs HTS classification with a Mexican custom broker and corporate
Tracks and traces shipments
Coordinates between the broker, freight providers, and warehouse
Requests, reviews, and files COO from suppliers and legal requirements according to FTA
Optimizes import duties
Controls extra expenses and claims
Supports claims for damage material in transit
Analyzes and determines the correct import process
Generates and updates WI, SOP, and legal information instructions
Provides guidance and training to team members
Approves and controls supplier payments
Implements compliance management control
Attends Customs or Tax authorities in case of audits
Generates monthly reports, risk analysis, and correction plans
Establishes measurable objectives and KPI's
Ensures Import-Export Record-Keeping Compliance
