Responsibilities

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations
Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and written or verbal assembly instructions
Sets initial layouts and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s)
Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies
Conducts quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications
Disassembles, modifies, reworks, reassembles, and tests experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products
Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation
Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines (higher levels may recommend and/or make adjustments to methods and processes)
May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers
Performs intermediate activities requiring judgment and decision-making in manufacturing/production operations or distribution center
Works on clerical assignments in distribution center that may require application of prior experience
Highlights areas of concerns / problems in own job area
Communicates with internal contacts within and outside of immediate team, obtaining and providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation
May provide guidance and assistance to new or entry level employees
