  • Dental Hygienist Diploma
  • Authorization to radiograph according to OFSP (Swiss Federal Office of Public Health) directives
  • Excellent French language skills
  • Right to practice according to the canton
  • Particular interest in parodontology
  • Ability to use diode laser in intrasulcular and/or transgingival therapy (appreciated)
  • Training in local anesthesia (appreciated)

Responsibilities

  • Perform biofilm detection using a disclosing agent
  • Provide prophylaxis and hygiene instructions to prevent oral health issues
  • Motivate patients to adhere to optimal oral hygiene practices
  • Identify potential improvements in oral health and inform patients about the causes of dental and gum diseases
  • Advise patients on various manual and electric brushing aids
  • Master modern prophylaxis techniques (e.g., GBT, ITOP)
  • Master techniques for smoking cessation
  • Interpret and perform parodontal examinations
  • Manually or mechanically remove supragingival and subgingival deposits
  • Possess theoretical and practical knowledge of parodontal scaling treatments (Ultrasonic and Manual)
  • Collaborate with the parodontologist to identify necessary treatments and refer patients as needed
  • Adhere to HDVe (Hospital Discharge and Environmental Protection) procedures
  • Maintain treatment duration according to scheduled appointments
  • Ensure patient satisfaction through feedback from patients, doctors, treatment coordinators, and reception staff
