Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) plus two (2) years of experience in a position demonstrating mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge and prior experience using hand tools and gauges (torque wrenches, calipers)
  • Familiarity with hydraulic / pneumatic principles and related hardware (flow testing, cracking and resetting of valves) is an asset
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, job sheets, and written work instructions
  • Physical requirements: ability to stand for long time periods (8 hours or more), frequently twist and bend, lifting weight: 35 lbs., daily lifting frequency, ability to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals
  • U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and testing on valves and assemblies by interpreting blueprints and job sheets, maintaining high productivity while producing quality parts
  • Follow written technical instructions and drawings
  • Set-up test stand and test valves and assemblies to meet specifications on job sheets
  • Proof test by placing valves in block and re-testing
  • Troubleshoot problems during assembly and test
  • Work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals
  • Responsible for the upkeep and inventory of company hand tools and tooling
  • Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data, Follower Tags, ATP, Slitter Sheets, etc
