Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) plus two (2) years of experience in a position demonstrating mechanical aptitude
Working knowledge and prior experience using hand tools and gauges (torque wrenches, calipers)
Familiarity with hydraulic / pneumatic principles and related hardware (flow testing, cracking and resetting of valves) is an asset
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, job sheets, and written work instructions
Physical requirements: ability to stand for long time periods (8 hours or more), frequently twist and bend, lifting weight: 35 lbs., daily lifting frequency, ability to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals
U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required

Responsibilities

Perform assembly and testing on valves and assemblies by interpreting blueprints and job sheets, maintaining high productivity while producing quality parts
Follow written technical instructions and drawings
Set-up test stand and test valves and assemblies to meet specifications on job sheets
Proof test by placing valves in block and re-testing
Troubleshoot problems during assembly and test
Work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals
Responsible for the upkeep and inventory of company hand tools and tooling
Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data, Follower Tags, ATP, Slitter Sheets, etc
