Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical copy development
Experience with preparation and submission of PAAB and/or FDA
Proven success in copywriting to drive action among audiences (HCPs, patients, caregivers, etc.)
Oncology experience required
Ability to understand and use clinical papers and product monographs to substantiate copy points and claims
Experience in pharmaceutical marketing to HCPs and patients
Ability to work within teams, manage timelines and deliver high quality work
English required (regular interaction with stakeholders across Canada, US and global footprint)
Passion for pharma regulatory compliance (FDA, PAAB)
Experience developing copy for life sciences industry, particularly oncology

Responsibilities

Own the copy development of all assigned projects from conceptual stage, working with design, account and client teams to ensure compliance with FDA and/or PAAB requirements, proper annotation of claims, and high-quality grammar/spelling
Adapt existing creative assets (emails, social media ads, websites, banner ads) with new promotional claims or supporting data based on medical compliance requirements
Present work demonstrating understanding of strategic objectives and rationale for how copy supports them
Leverage brand guidelines to ensure content aligns with brand tone, voice, and targeted customer segments
Collaborate/ideate with Design team on creative ways to build new tactics or present new messaging
Revise copy based on feedback from account, client, compliance, and medical regulatory teams within schedule requirements
Prepare, submit, and negotiate creative reviews with medical regulatory agencies (FDA, PAAB as needed)
Maintain updated training on changes to PAAB and FDA requirements
Leverage Gen AI platforms and tools when applicable to create content
Develop SEO optimized content for digital channels to maintain/increase discoverability and ranking
