Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and simulation
  • Knowledge of HVAC system architecture and thermal management principles
  • Familiarity with 1D simulation tools (e.g., AMESim, GT-SUITE) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain 1D HVAC system models using Simulink and associated libraries
  • Integrate thermal, fluid, and control components into a comprehensive system model
  • Calibrate key components (compressor, blower, heat exchangers, valves) based on test data or supplier specifications
  • Validate system models against experimental or CFD results to ensure accuracy
  • Perform cooling and heating performance simulations under various operating conditions
  • Analyze airflow, refrigerant flow, and thermal behavior to identify design improvements
  • Work closely with CFD engineers, hardware teams, and system architects to ensure model fidelity
  • Prepare technical documentation, simulation reports, and present findings to stakeholders
