Requirements

Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification
Proven track record in installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of HVAC systems
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Assemble and install heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning components
Troubleshoot and overhaul entire HVAC systems
Recharge systems with refrigerant and perform testing
Operate and maintain various tools and equipment (heating, cooling and ventilation equipment, parts, welding/brazing equipment, refrigerant, power tools, hand tools, air compressors, ladders, waste, cleaning fluids and compounds, etc.)

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
Repair and replace parts and components for HVAC systems
Follow preventative maintenance schedules
Prepare work estimates
