Requirements

  • Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification
  • Proven track record in installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of HVAC systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Assemble and install heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning components
  • Troubleshoot and overhaul entire HVAC systems
  • Recharge systems with refrigerant and perform testing
  • Operate and maintain various tools and equipment (heating, cooling and ventilation equipment, parts, welding/brazing equipment, refrigerant, power tools, hand tools, air compressors, ladders, waste, cleaning fluids and compounds, etc.)

  • Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
  • Repair and replace parts and components for HVAC systems
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules
  • Prepare work estimates
