Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in recruitment, staffing, or human resources analysis
  • Combined education and experience qualifications: An equivalent combination of education and professional experience in Human Resources may be considered in substitution for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
  • Paraprofessional HR experience may substitute for professional experience on a two-for-one basis (i.e., two years of paraprofessional experience substitutes for one year of professional experience)
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in the public sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Workday, NEOGOV, PeopleSoft)
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of research and data analysis methods and techniques
  • Skill in effective use of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Skill in critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective decision making
  • Skill in organizing, prioritizing, and performing multiple tasks and demands within schedule constraints and reprioritizing work as needed
  • Skill in verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a strategic partner to develop and implement strategies that support the Judicial Branch’s staffing objectives
  • Handles a variety of administrative tasks using critical thinking and independent judgement
  • Advises hiring managers on the best recruiting and staffing strategies
  • Ensures effective workforce planning and hiring practices that align with organizational goals
  • Reads, interprets, adheres to, and understands defined policies, processes, and procedures while working independently
