Position Overview

Deel is seeking an experienced HR professional to serve as our in-house HR expert for Bulgaria. This role will be instrumental in managing the entire employee lifecycle for EOR employees in Bulgaria, ensuring a high level of support and compliance. As a key member of a globally distributed team, you will contribute to Deel's mission of unlocking global opportunity for every person, team, and business.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the in-house HR expert for Bulgaria, managing all complex people-related matters for EOR employees.
  • Own and drive the EOR employee lifecycle, including onboarding, off-boarding, orientation, employee support, performance management, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Provide a high level of support to EOR employees, acting as the primary point of contact for all HR-related queries.
  • Provide administrative support, including report generation, employment verification letters, and HRIS administration.
  • Deliver a high-touch local experience where required and collaborate with product and operations teams to develop scalable HR systems.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of professional HR experience in an international, high-volume, and fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant HR qualifications and certifications are a valuable asset.
  • Fluency in English and Bulgarian languages. Proficiency in Romanian is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify, scope, and resolve complex and sensitive HR issues.
  • Data-driven approach to challenging the status quo and improving response times and employee experience.
  • Experience using ticketing tools such as JIRA, Zendesk, or Intercom is a plus.
