Requirements
- H.S. diploma
- Minimum one (1) year of healthcare supply distribution experience, preferred
- Knowledge of the principles of receiving, storing, picking, staging, and shipping materials
- Basic knowledge of arithmetic, English, and grammar
- Accuracy in checking, posting, and counting
- Simple use of automated office equipment
- Adaptable to clerical routines
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff to resolve problems relating to warehouse/distribution functions
- Knowledge of the methods and procedures of taking inventory
- Ability to update and maintain inventory records on data control system
Responsibilities
- Examines incoming shipments to verify receipt of the correct types and quantity of materials and supplies
- Unpacks and inspects items for damage/shortage
- Interacts with data control system to identify classification of items (stock/non-stock)
- Accurately processes items according to standard operating procedures
- Stores items at designated locations accurately
- Performs par level counts as assigned and inputs levels to produce pick letters
- Interacts with customers to review par levels, as well as receiving and delivery information
- Maintains records of material and supplies and related materials management activities, as required
- Picks and stages items for shipment to vendors
- Maintains confidentiality of protected health information, as needed
- May apply asset tag numbers to new equipment, furniture, etc. and records this data appropriately
- May inventory and issue patient charges for Specialty Cart supplies
- Performs additional duties as directed
