  • Part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program (patient-facing role)
  • Valid in-state driver’s license, current registration and insurance, and driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
  • Proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 limits (part of Humana's Driver safety program)

Responsibilities

  • Assess and record patient condition by monitoring vital signs
  • Administer treatments by dispensing medications, changing bandages, and administering oxygen supply and equipment
  • Help patients care for themselves by introducing and teaching assisted living techniques (e.g., using a cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene)
  • Help family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the patient
  • Enable patients to stay in their homes by providing health and personal services and supporting patients and their families
  • Interpret work assignments and independently determine appropriate courses of action
  • Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including linkages to related areas
  • Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, with minimal direction and guidance where needed
  • Follow established guidelines/procedures
