Knowledge of protecting and maintaining security/confidentiality of patient data and medical information
Ability to ensure integrity of clinical documentation images and Master Patient Index
Proficiency in prepping, scanning, indexing, and quality audits/control of medical record documents

Proficiency in validating physician/provider deficiencies, notifying for suspension via Epic EHR

Responsibilities

Perform document capture of paper records (prepping, scanning, indexing, quality review) into OnBase
Manage electronic images in OnBase and Epic
Assess scanned images for accuracy and quality, monitor manual index queues, and maintain scanning equipment
Monitor and complete daily Epic In-basket work queues for MyChart, Release of Information requests, and OnBase PAT queues for surgeries
Ensure accuracy of demographic information, including patient merges/duplicates, baby name changes, and system updates
Analyze documentation and assign physician/provider deficiencies for timely completion per regulatory requirements
Assist, educate, and guide physicians/providers in completing deficiencies
Validate accuracy of physician/provider deficiencies on incomplete medical records and notify eligible physicians for suspension via Epic EHR
