Requirements

  • Safely and proficiently operate a front-end loader, skid steers, and other heavy equipment to remove snow and ice
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and equipment-appropriate MA Hoisting License (2C, 2D)
  • Provide own transportation
  • Provide own cold weather clothing, jackets, snow pants, winter boots, hat, gloves
  • Able to lift 50lbs and perform substantial physical activity
  • Available on call, including over the weekend at various times of the day/night
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. (E-Verify participation)

Responsibilities

  • Clear snow from designated areas such as parking lots, access roads, and loading docks according to site maps or supervisor instructions
  • Load snow into dump trucks or strategically move and stockpile snow to minimize impact on traffic flow and site accessibility
  • Perform and document daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the loader, including checks on fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights
  • Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures, being aware of blind spots and surroundings
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with supervisor or dispatcher
  • Fill out daily work logs detailing equipment hours, work completed, and materials used
