Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shop or field heavy equipment troubleshooting and repair, along with a technical certification or an Associate’s Degree. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles is required, as well as the ability to work within set time parameters, multi-task, and follow procedures. Applicants must also have the ability to work with limited supervision and a certain degree of independent judgement, and be able to obtain a forklift license with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

The Heavy Equipment Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing complex repairs on heavy equipment, including pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues, both in the shop and in the field. They will also conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled, complete work orders in a timely manner, maintain daily truck inspection logs, communicate effectively with the service manager, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Furthermore, the technician will provide high-quality repair service to meet customer needs in a responsive and timely manner, and collaborate with all departments to address customer requirements.
