Requirements

Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Registered Dietitian Licensure required in the state of residence if applicable
Upon hire, required to obtain licensure in multiple states where members reside (CVS will support the cost of required licensure)
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
5+ years of experience working in a multidisciplinary team
5+ years of experience with weight management, disease management, medical nutrition therapy, and healthy lifestyle behavior change
5+ years of coaching experience
Highly organized, flexible, and able to adapt and embrace change in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, empathy, and motivational interviewing skills
Proficiency in motivational interviewing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to critically think and navigate challenging situations
Ability to prioritize competing priorities and meet deadlines
Self-motivated and dependable
Computer literacy and demonstrated proficiency to navigate internal/external computer systems and MS Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Teams

Responsibilities

Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions focused on nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle habits
Utilizing interviewing and active listening skills, provide nutritional coaching, information, and support to empower the member to make ongoing independent healthy lifestyle choices
Develop individualized care plans and set measurable goals with members
Document member interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with organizational standards
Stay current with best practices in dietetics and health coaching
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support integrated care
