Requirements

  • Solid experience in warehousing, logistics or similar industries (at least 5 years)
  • Proven experience in managing large teams and inter-department coordination
  • Awareness and implementation of concepts in 5S, Lean, TMS, TQM, DMAIC, Six Sigma, and similar operational disciplines
  • Basic knowledge of various computer programs, including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and other related software programs. Can perform spreadsheet calculations
  • Values excellence, integrity, and fairness
  • Can work and communicate effectively with a team under the 20 - 35 age group
  • Can build rapport with sorters, station heads, and mid-level Managers
  • Working from a startup company is a plus
  • Spoken and written fluency in both English and Tagalog

Responsibilities

  • Strategically planning, leading, and managing all logistics, warehouse, and sorting operations to ensure an efficient, accurate, and cost-effective full sorting cycle
  • Ensuring departmental strategies are aligned with the company’s overall business objectives while fostering collaboration and operational excellence across all relevant functions
  • Ensuring Operational Metrics such as Turnaround Time, Claims Rates and Audit Compliance are achieved
  • Cascading company directives and policies to Warehouse Manager / Supervisors, ensuring that all sorters are aligned and compliant with the same
  • Conducting warehouse audits under his care, to determine and address operational gaps, if there’s any
  • Studying and monitoring the performance metrics (ie. Inbound Speed, Sort Cost per parcel) of the main sort facility and providing insights and interventions to sustain and improve the metrics
  • Providing on ground leadership presence among Sorters by paying regular visits to the warehouse
  • Ensuring that the Sort Department adheres to high quality standards based on company’s Quality Management principles
