Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven success managing global infrastructure operations, including data centers, cloud platforms, and engineering lab environments
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows and tools (e.g., PLM, DevOps, HPC)
  • Expertise in security governance, risk management, and compliance within engineering contexts
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs and drive strategic initiatives
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
  • Experience managing large-scale enterprise environments
  • Background in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industries (preferred)
  • Experience with cloud migration planning, firewall rule alignment, and site cutover execution (preferred)
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), virtualization (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the infrastructure roadmap for engineering labs, HPC environments, and product lifecycle management tools, aligning with business and technical objectives (Strategic Leadership)
  • Lead the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of compute, storage, and networking systems across global engineering sites (Infrastructure Operations)
  • Define and enforce robust lab security policies, including OS patching, software whitelisting, and enclave migration strategies to ensure compliance and resilience (Lab IT Governance)
  • Architect and implement the migration strategy for engineering infrastructure to cloud platforms and Altera’s colocation facilities (Cloud & Colocation Strategy)
  • Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure infrastructure solutions meet evolving business and technical requirements (Cross-functional Collaboration)
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage hosting and infrastructure vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery (Vendor & Partner Management)
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives such as data center transitions, network modernization, and endpoint support enhancements (Project Execution)
  • Monitor infrastructure KPIs, proactively identify areas for improvement, and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure operational excellence (Performance & Risk Management)
