Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in public relations, with experience supporting public companies focusing on financial communications (in-house or agency)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Finance, or related fields
  • Background in financial communications
  • Proven experience deploying digital communications in support of financial/business narratives
  • Strong management skills
  • Tech-savvy with understanding of combining traditional financial communications strategies & tactics with integrated channels, including social/digital media
  • Competence in delivering multi-layered content and concepts in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
  • Adept at leading a variety of projects and tasks to completion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining steadfast around details and committed to deadlines
  • Motivated self-starter with a “roll-up your sleeves,” get-it-done mentality

Responsibilities

  • Lead Nasdaq’s financial and enterprise-wide communications function
  • Report directly to the Vice President, Head of Corporate Communications and serve as a key member of the Corporate Communications management team
  • Work closely with the CFO, Investor Relations, and Nasdaq’s enterprise-wide executive leadership team
  • Drive creative, integrated business and financial communications strategies to deliver Nasdaq’s narrative to Wall Street and other key financial audiences
  • Develop and execute communications strategies in support of key enterprise functions including Legal, Risk & Regulatory, HR, etc
  • Handle critical issues management
  • Support Nasdaq’s CFO and Investor Relations team
  • Devise and execute integrated marketing/communications plans, media strategies, and press materials to drive Nasdaq’s narrative with key financial audiences including the investor and analyst community, financial press, and others
  • Lead all aspects of PR planning and programming of corporate milestones, including quarterly earnings, M&A, and related events
  • Build and maintain strong media relationships with financial, trade/industry, and general business press
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners on corporate initiatives
  • Devise and execute communications strategies in support of enterprise-wide (non-revenue generating) business units and their respective leadership
  • Secure opportunities for C-suite executives and award nominations to drive executive visibility, company recognition, and thought leadership
