Role Summary

We are seeking a Head of Engineering for Payment to be based in Poland, Spain, or Cyprus. This role reports to the Director of Engineering for Growth & Monetisation and will lead the Payments team. The team is responsible for supporting payment transactions for Welltech products and re-architecting the payments platform for future scalability.

Reporting Structure

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Empower Engineering Teams: Guide and mentor multiple cross-functional engineering teams (Frontend/Backend Engineers, Infrastructure, and QA) to achieve ambitious goals and deliver impactful solutions. Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Define and Drive Technology Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear technology vision and strategy aligned with product and business objectives.
  • Architect for Scale and Resilience: Oversee the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable systems.
  • Co-lead Product Development: Work closely with the Head of Product to form a technology strategy and architecture vision.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Solutions Architect and peers to ensure business success.
  • Team Growth: Responsible for retaining, building, and leading a high-performing engineering team.
