A deep understanding of branding, design aesthetic, and excellent UX/UI, showcased in an impressive portfolio, is essential. Strong working knowledge of product design, typography, website design, visual design across online and traditional media, brand development, and the creative process is required. Fluency in product design trends and leading design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite is necessary. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills are crucial for effective cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is kind, empathetic, patient, and cares deeply about diversity and inclusion, with fluent English writing and speaking skills.
The Head of Design will provide creative vision, direction, and leadership for the Design department, building, inspiring, and mentoring a team of world-class talent while overseeing their creative outputs. They will own and develop creative programs and design concepts to meet Remote's creative vision, branding, and business objectives. This role involves championing user-centered design, user-experience, design-led thinking, and design best practices across the business. Responsibilities include leading concept development, providing creative input, setting high-quality standards, and troubleshooting design issues. Collaboration with cross-functional teams like Engineering, Product, and Marketing on brand partnerships and creative projects is key. The Head of Design will also work on design assets as required and use quantitative data and qualitative feedback to inform design decisions, staying current with industry developments and tools.
