Requirements

Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in senior compliance roles within large, highly regulated industries, with a strong background in designing and implementing compliance programs across multiple regulatory domains. Proven leadership skills with experience managing and coaching high-performing teams are essential, along with a deep understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and regulatory expectations. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level, are also required. Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, risk, compliance, or a related discipline are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Head of Compliance will lead the strategic direction of Montu’s compliance function, advising the Executive Leadership Team on compliance risks, regulatory developments, and emerging issues. They will develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance frameworks, policies, and training, embedding compliance into Montu’s culture. This role involves overseeing compliance risk management and monitoring programs, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and regulators to maintain transparency and trust is crucial, as is providing leadership and mentorship to the compliance team, building capability and driving continuous improvement.
