Requirements

Candidates must possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license and be able to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire. A CDL Hazmat endorsement is preferred. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems, as well as pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and other maintenance functions is desired. Proficiency with hand and shop tools and instruments, accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and handle diverse responsibilities are essential.

Responsibilities

The HazMat Retail Driver Technician will operate Class A or B trucks for LTL pickups of customer retail waste, sorting, packaging, verifying, securing, and transporting materials. They will provide excellent customer service, maintain electronic logs and documentation of manifests and work orders, and perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Responsibilities also include processing hazardous and non-hazardous materials, assisting with facility housekeeping, functioning as a technician on lab pack and field service projects, and performing other related duties as assigned.
