Requirements

  • Class A Commercial Driver’s license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire date)
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems
  • Knowledge of pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and other maintenance functions
  • Skilled in using hand and shop tools and instruments
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Operates trucks including roll-offs, tankers, gravel trains, tractor-trailers, box trucks, etc
  • Performs LTL (less than load) pickups
  • Maintains driver documents such as logbook, quarterly permit book, trip reports, waste manifests, etc
  • Ensures accurate placarding, load securement, HAZMAT load segregation, and labeling
  • Understands and complies with state weight limit laws
  • Maintains company equipment
  • Understands and utilizes company technology such as mobile applications and software maintenance
  • Performs DOT / MOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Effectively interacts and communicates with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Processes hazardous and non-hazardous materials as needed
  • Assists in maintaining good housekeeping at the facility and on the grounds
  • May function as a technician on lab pack and field service projects
  • Participates in the Site Safety program and required training
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
