Requirements
- 10-12 years B.Tech / 8-10 years M.Tech experience in Project management or Design engineering in automotive domain
- Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Engineering
- Several years of professional experience in an international company, preferably in the automotive or electronics industry
- Cross-functional engineering experience, able to cover EE, ME, and validation topics, while interfacing with Systems, SW, manufacturing, and purchasing
- Lead by influence
- Strong focus on interpersonal skills – willingness to develop
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to solve problems - creativity
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- First point of contact (FPOC) from HW to the Region project team
- FPOC from HW to Region and OEM customer on HW issues
- Own and lead escalation paths of all HW deliverables and issues
- Create and manage HW achievement plan. Coordinate with Engineering Project Manager
- Drive HW KPIs to meet HW Factory MOS targets
- Support application design deviations and lessons learned with the CPO platform team
- Represent HW in cross competency issues
- FPOC from HW to the manufacturing team. Ensure the HW design is consistent with the manufacturing Bill Of Process (BOP) for the given manufacturing footprint. Resolve deviations as needed
- FPOC from HW to the purchasing team. Ensure supplier selection is consistent with platform approved sources. Make visible new supplier recommendations to the platform, HW Factory, and supplier quality
- FPOC from HW to the validation team. Ensure test planning, execution and issue management
- Ensure project lessons learned are reviewed across CPO platform projects
- Monitor HW resources to meet project budget and forecast
- Monitor and guide on-time closure of design quality issues (PCRs, PORs, NPIs, customer) for verification, DV, PV; update/ close VFNs
- Lead HW response to PCEs
- Oversight milestones for HW project
- Maximize reuse platform
- Oversight HW activities for new business pursuits as per assignment
