Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum 3 yrs experience in Latin America Taxation compliance, Caribbean, Canada; (In-house multinational or Big 4)
  • Spanish and English
  • Experience with Oracle and/or SAP are a must
  • Blackline, account rec preparation experience is a must
  • AR WHT analysis is a must
  • Desired Characteristics
  • Have previous experience in HR Operations, Payroll & Benefits, Global Mobility or Shared Service Centers preferred
  • Have written and verbal communication skills in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Execute the tax compliance of indirect and direct tax of assigned legal entities in Canada and the Caribbean Region
  • Support with the AR WHT reconciliation and creation of WHT certificates
  • Support Tax Audits from a transactional perspective, seeking proactive and efficient ways to minimize manual work
  • Analyze and prepare accounting adjustments to ensure the tax position matches the GL
  • Fulfillment and updating the tax trackers to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of tasks regularly
  • Collaborate on the Tax Asset Monetization initiatives and provide operational support to the Regional Tax Team
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with broader tax organization and finance organization
  • Pro-actively seek for process improvement and automation
  • Support all other ad hoc projects as and when they arise
