Responsibilities

  • Communicate to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers
  • Manage Supply Chain Budget for Plant and HQ teams
  • Single point contact to Material Supply Operations (MSO) - Interface between Global Supply Chain (GSC) and Finance
  • Manage GSC reporting and improvement measures (logistics, premium freight, inventory forecasting, days on hand inventory, obsolete material, aged ASN, suppliers behind schedule, buyer related problems, etc.)
  • GMS Leader. Focus on Short Lead Time (SLT) to Maintain BIQ IV
  • Support special projects such as New Product Launches with GSC Team
  • Manage Lean Logistics Material Follow Up (Ryder) and Pontiac Stamping Floor Coordination activities
  • SME for the SLT Basketweave Team
  • Directs the Plan for Every Part
  • Replace Global Supply Chain Manager as required
  • Manages and controls Material Global Optimization (MGO) schedule/accuracy/performance
  • Manage outbound shipping controls and export compliance
  • Supports Supplier Practical Problem Solving (SPPS) and Cost Recovery process
  • Internal Controls compliance for GSC functions, such as Annual Physical Inventory (API) and GMAS
  • Represents the Department in various activities and committees as required
  • Coach, train, develop and evaluate salaried teams
  • Lead and teach all GMS operating requirements
  • Work closely with other departments within and outside of the manufacturing production team and maintain strong relationships with other plants and external customers
  • Be flexible – Ready to Monitor Supply Chain Issues after normal work hours and weekends
  • Communicate and report out at Level 1 reviews and Staff Meetings
