Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related studies
  • 5+ years of proven experience in project management / product management / portfolio management
  • Leadership experience in a highly visible role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication methods to enable effective work with business partners aiming to meet required mutual goals
  • Demonstrated ability working through others and influencing without direct authority
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic)

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of (~5) Portfolio Managers
  • Lead team through change, fostering a culture of inclusivity and adaptability
  • Implement robust portfolio management processes to achieve organizational goals and strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the creation and optimization of portfolio management processes
  • Identify potential risks and key interdependencies, develop mitigation strategies, and action plans to address them
  • Display professional courage by driving results with a sense of urgency, inspiring the team to operate with heightened engagement and efficiency
  • Apply domain expertise across key functions (program, engineering, product, design), appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean), and strong business acumen
  • Model transparent communication of project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate stakeholders and management channels
  • Mentor and develop others, providing technical training and establishing effective mechanisms for knowledge-sharing
