Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or 5-10+ years of relevant experience
Rockwell PackML experience
Hardware experience - setup line and network connections, implement LEDs and Historian on PLC side
Rockwell FT View ME HMI programming experience, including recipe management
Ability to identify and design electrical schematics using ePlan
Ability to program intelligent relays and sensors
Familiarity with pneumatic design and implementation
Familiarity with Machine Safety Validation Protocols and how they impact design and implementation of equipment
(Desired) Formulated experience with batching knowledge; understanding of State Models, Phase Control, Equipment Modules, Control Modules, and Sequential Function Chart programming
Ability to read and understand a Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
Familiarity with pumps (all types), valves, RTDs, thermocouples, flowmeters, pressure transmitters, and 4-20ma / 0-10v devices and input cards
Understanding of control loops for temperature, pressure, and tension control
Technical curiosity and passion to develop innovative solutions
Ability to work independently and show initiative
Strong leadership capabilities and ability to work collaboratively with a team
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage the technical aspects of a project through the complete design, manufacture, debug, implementation, and commissioning phases both at vendor’s and receiving sites with potential travel
Excellent communication skills for team updates and engagement with peers, vendors, operators, and contractors
Willingness to work hybrid (onsite 3 days/week in Boston GO Tech Center), daily onsite when building equipment, validating, or EO testing, and travel up to 25% during peak periods
Responsibilities
Electrical/controls design, software development, managing the build, installation, and qualification of relevant equipment
Build technical mastery to deliver equipment/machine design for new product initiatives, obsolescence, supply network optimization, and savings (cost, cash, and/or material savings)
Develop standards and documents including Design Basis, User Requirements Document, and Software Design Basis
Review and approve standard ICA design documents and drawings
Verify ICA equipment and installations meet regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, CE, UL) throughout all project phases
Develop and troubleshoot controls system architecture via Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and other industrial control devices
Contribute to delivering new products and process innovations on the formulated on-board chemistry team
Help build the digital landscape for production equipment and drive Industry 4.0 emerging technologies, digital manufacturing, and future automation trends, including best-in-class online and offline quality inspection systems
