This position pays $17.25 per hour.
The shift hours are Wednesday 12 PM - 6 PM, and Thursday through Saturday 6 AM - 6 PM.
Must have 6 months operator experience with one employer in the last 24 months, be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, use basic hand tools, read and complete logs, and communicate via two-way radio. Physical abilities include shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, and working in extreme conditions. May need to operate frontend loader or forklift with certification.
The role involves a loud work environment with exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, outside weather, risk of electrical shock, vibration, toxic chemicals, and extreme heat. Employees must maintain a safe work environment, adhere to Tyson policies, and keep work areas clean using soap and high-pressure hose.
Candidates need documented 6 months operator experience in the last 24 months, no more than two prior Tyson employments (3X rule), and at least 180 days since last termination. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and transferable skills from related fields are valued, along with ability to meet physical demands.
