Requirements

3 months of work history with the same employer
Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
Ability and willingness to scan or input into computer system all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs
Ability and willingness to follow formulations on the computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information
Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently
Ability and willingness to lift/carry/lower more than 40 pounds with back and legs
Ability and willingness to push 2900 pounds (with assistance)
Ability and willingness to use rapid mental/muscular coordination simultaneously
Ability and willingness to flex/grip with hand/wrist frequently
Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
Ability and willingness to work on elevated platforms and workstations
Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees

Responsibilities

Follow computer generated formulations step by step
Scale and grind meats producing up to 10 preblends/hour
Empty mixers into two vats, each weighing approximately 2900 pounds
Move vats, weighing approximately 2900 pounds of product, from under mixer to staging area
Level tanks, keep the floor clean at all times, and follow general housekeeping duties
Use the computer-generated formulator for specific meat types to hit correct fat percentage for blends (once every 3 minutes)
Complete SAP functions with issuing meat prior to additions (complete for one blend every 6 minutes)
Complete grinder head checks
Complete all necessary paperwork
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
Perform all positions of job rotation as needed
Perform any other work as assigned by management
