Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communications or equivalent professional experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in graphic design
  • Strong experience in CPG or packaging design; brand and digital work a significant asset
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), with basic motion or video editing skills a plus
  • Familiarity with dielines, print production, supplier handoffs, and eCommerce (e.g., Amazon, Instacart, DTC PDPs)
  • Portfolio showing strong packaging execution, visual systems, and thoughtful brand design
  • Experience working with vendors/converters/printers and understanding print/die-line/substrate/finish process flows
  • Experience or interest in sustainability/eco-friendly packaging design options
  • Equally comfortable executing and concepting, with a solid understanding of layout, hierarchy, and scalability
  • Experience creating repeatable templates and toolkits for brand consistency
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Strong communicator, comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable with pre-press checks, colour management, and proofing
  • Understanding of consumer behaviour, trend-spotting and competitive shelf-set awareness

Responsibilities

  • Design and update packaging for CPG products across formats, from early concepts to production-ready files
  • Create scalable, repeatable brand/packaging systems that can support SKU proliferation, multi-market language versions and e-commerce vs retail formats
  • Support rollouts of brand refreshes, new SKUs, and packaging optimizations
  • Concept and execute on-brand creative across print and digital, including social, email, Amazon PDPs, sell-in one-pagers, and retail partner suites
  • Collaborate with marketing, brand, and product teams to bring creative briefs to life with strong visuals and clear storytelling
  • Contribute to campaign ideation and help shape the visual voice of the brand
  • Build and prep accurate, detailed production-ready files with meticulous pre-press and color management
  • Ensure all assets meet brand, translation standards and global regulatory/market-compliance
  • Deliver work on time across sprint timelines and key checkpoints (preflight, approvals, review rounds) and manage multiple concurrent SKUs, seasonal/limited-edition launches, and rush requests in CPG environment
