Requirements

  • Proven track record of engaging with senior policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of U.S. infrastructure policy, legislative processes, and regulatory frameworks; global experience a plus
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, translates policy developments into business implications
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • High level of professional integrity, discretion, and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Blackstone’s government relations strategy for infrastructure investments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local policymakers, regulatory agencies, and industry associations
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and political developments impacting infrastructure investment and provide timely analysis to senior leadership and investment teams
  • Represent Blackstone in policy discussions, hearings, and stakeholder forums, articulating the firm’s positions on infrastructure-related issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess policy risks and opportunities, integrating insights into investment decision-making
  • Lead advocacy efforts on key infrastructure priorities, including public-private partnerships, permitting reform, financing structures, and sustainability initiatives
  • Coordinate with communications teams to develop messaging that supports policy objectives and enhances Blackstone’s reputation as a thought leader in infrastructure
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Blackstone’s infrastructure investment teams and key government stakeholders, ensuring the firm’s perspectives are effectively communicated and advanced in policy discussions
