Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the UK and be in their penultimate year of university, graduating in 2027. They must be able to work full-time during the summer of 2026, possess a proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and experience as a self-starter, and enjoy agile working. Excellent communication skills, personal presence to convey messages to senior executives and external partners, and fluency in English are essential. A good grasp of politics and/or economics, with a keen interest in FinTech, payments, and financial services, is ideal. Visa will not sponsor work visas for this position.
The intern will undertake research, analyze policy, review documents, distill information into key insights, and effectively communicate key findings for the Europe Government Affairs team. This role involves supporting the team in developing Visa's position on key policy issues in the digital payments sector and engaging with policymakers. The intern will also help monitor policy developments in the UK, Ireland, and across Europe, and contribute to content that shapes policy discourse.
