Responsibilities

Lead and develop the SSE team at the Beauharnois plant
Promote collaboration with manufacturing and maintenance operations to improve site performance and compliance
Communicate and coordinate with regional SSE manager and other SSE leaders
Interact with government representatives, business leaders, and other departments to meet requirements and objectives
Assume a leadership role in emergency situations, weather events, or other critical situations
Work with the organizational hierarchy to integrate strong SSE concepts into daily work activities
Ensure compliance with regulatory permits, operational surveillance, record-keeping, reporting, and public education and awareness
Manage SSE compliance data and develop action plans to ensure ongoing compliance
Perform duties to protect personal and others' safety
Develop and implement proactive management systems, including regulatory tracking, compliance programs, and risk management
Manage the implementation of strategies to maintain existing compliance, and develop action plans to restore compliance in case of non-compliance
