HS Diploma or GED
3 years of manufacturing mechanical maintenance or industrial mechanical maintenance experience (4-5 years preferred)
Preferred: use of sophisticated shop math and complicated drawings; apprenticeship in maintenance skilled craft
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
Compliance with cleanroom restrictions (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc.)
Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold), loud noises, and with hazardous/toxic materials
Use of PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
Reliable and conscientious
Ability to adhere to directions
Good interpersonal skills
Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding English

Responsibilities

Plan, layout, install, and maintain equipment including boilers, test equipment, sprinkler systems, plumbing, production machinery, washroom equipment, and material handling equipment
Handle plumbing: layout, installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing, sprinkler systems, air and steam lines, and washroom equipment
Manage heating: installation, repair, and maintenance of boiler room and plant heating equipment, oil burners, stokers, air compressors, mixing valves, etc
Perform electrical tasks: component installation for all equipment, including moving, securing, initial leveling, and plumbing hydraulic/hydrostatic operations connected to setup, repair, and maintenance
Manage equipment: setup, repair, and upkeep of material handling equipment such as elevators, conveyors, hoists, etc
Consult and guide employees on work related to above duties
Maintain all crucial documentation for responsibilities
Conduct periodic inspections of all relevant equipment
Assist other department members to ensure safety and improve output
Assist in training other employees as needed
Assist in changeover and setup on production lanes and equipment
Perform various production operations, including operating multiple machines safely and filling in on manufacturing positions as required
