Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a current driver's license in good standing, and the ability to meet the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy driving records standards. They should demonstrate basic competency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades, possess basic familiarity with computers and tablets, and exhibit solid customer service skills. The ability to read and write in English, plan, organize, and prioritize work is also required, along with the ability to provide basic tools and equipment.
The General Maintenance Associate will respond to service calls to complete Change of Occupancy Maintenance work and other property maintenance requests, conduct maintenance upkeep, repairs, and rehabilitation of property including plumbing, electrical, and appliances, clean public areas, rental units, and offices, and complete interior and exterior painting, roof repairs, lawn upkeep, debris removal and repair, and replacement of lights and smoke detectors. They will also transport, install, and connect appliances, transport equipment and furnishings, perform on-call emergency repairs, repair and fabricate window screens and door frames, dig/fill excavations, operate power tools and lawn mowers, remove floor tile, and ensure work-site cleanup, while also completing and submitting paperwork, keeping supervisors informed, and maintaining vehicle inventory.
