Requirements

In-depth working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, general and operational accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Proficient with ERP systems (working knowledge of D365 and/or OneStream is a plus)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to effectively interact with all levels throughout the organization
Success at building relationships and collaborating cross-functionally across the organization
High attention to detail and accuracy, and able to work under minimal supervision
Proven ability to independently resolve issues and recommend process improvements

Responsibilities

Ensure the integrity of all accounting processes and financial records
Ensure complete and accurate month-end close processes are completed within established deadlines
Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Develop an understanding of the business and how recurring and non-recurring transactions impact the balance sheet
Prepare, review, and/or post journal entries and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is included, in compliance with GAAP and company policies
Actively coach and mentor staff and assist the Manager GL Ops with staff workflow, priority setting, and development
Act as a liaison with other accounting and finance groups to ensure complete and accurate communication of financial data
Assist team members in resolving month-end close related issues as they arise and escalate issues as necessary to management
Take initiative to investigate reconciling items or discrepancies and contact appropriate individuals to gather information in order to propose and implement solutions
Gather, research, and review documentation with auditors and assist auditors in their inquiries
