  • 3-5 years of relevant engineering design experience

  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 schedule analysis
  • Familiar with discipline specific design software and design management systems

  • Knowledge of Peoples Gas Engineering Design CAD Standards
  • Knowledge of City of Chicago Design Requirements/Ability to interpret OUC utility files/CDOT standards
  • Previous experience working on Peoples Gas Engineering Projects
  • Previous experience managing a large number of small deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Design to client and regulatory requirements
  • Manage small to mid-size projects to schedule and budget
  • Keep Milhouse Engineering management advised of all quality, schedule, and budget variances in a timely manner
  • Manage subordinate or other discipline resources to quality, schedule, and budget requirements
  • Prepare project documents and reports
  • Maintain project files
  • Create and enforce project quality plan
  • Data and document entry into various platforms
  • Report safety, health, and quality issues to management
  • Prepare contract amendments, change order documentation, and claims documentation
  • Communicate and coordinate project scope with clients and local municipalities
  • Participate in project scoping, cost estimates, provide guidance for design plans, material selection, constructability, and calculations
