Position Overview

Front is seeking a skilled Front-End Web Developer to join our marketing team. This role will be instrumental in managing, building, and expanding Front.com. You will have significant input into our website technology stack, focusing on optimization and enhancement to deliver best-in-class customer experiences for both prospects and existing customers. You will collaborate within a small web development team (3-5 developers) to optimize publicly-facing pages based on key business data and internal needs, leveraging technology to scale existing processes.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to front-end web development projects by writing Next.js code to create new web pages and global components.
  • Integrate Front.com more closely with our headless CMS.
  • Partner closely with members of our product marketing and content teams to execute their web content needs.
  • Redesign web pages and update existing sites based on new Figma designs.
  • QA and troubleshoot website UI, performance issues, and bugs.
  • Support the design and development of A/B tests and other website optimization efforts.
  • Follow and communicate industry best practices for web development, including accessibility, website performance, and site architecture.
  • Support website sprint management by setting work estimates, scoping, and proactively communicating potential risks/delays.

Requirements & Skills

  • At least 4 years of front-end development experience, with a focus on developing and deploying changes across high-traffic, public-facing websites (B2B experience preferred).
  • Experience developing web components.
  • Proficiency working with GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience debugging in Next.js / React.
  • A track record of working with headless CMS systems (e.g., Craft CMS, Contentful, Sanity.io, Storyblok).
  • Experience with two or more open-source CMS systems (e.g., WordPress, Grav, Ghost, HubSpot, Jekyll).
  • Significant experience developing in JavaScript (Node.js) via TypeScript.
  • Proficiency using package managers such as Yarn, NPM, and Homebrew.
  • A history of building and managing websites in React and/or Next.js.
  • Experience using PHP with databases.
  • Experience working on marketing teams, either as an individual owner or as part of a small (3-5) development team.
  • Proven experience working with third-party APIs and GraphQL.
  • Experience with modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience managing code changes across local, pre-production, and production environments.
  • Experience deploying web applications across various cloud platforms (e.g., Vercel, Heroku, Netlify).
  • Previous experience working on website redesigns and CMS migrations.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in one or more CMS systems such as Drupal, HubSpot, Webflow, Gatsby.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, feature-flagging, and personalization.
  • Experience building interactive tools.
