Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to stand on metal platform for up to 8 hours (100% of shift with breaks)
Use of both hands and arms required
Ability to lift a minimum of 3.5 pounds repetitively up to 6.5 pounds; handle weights in excess of 50 pounds periodically (e.g., disposing of DOA birds)
Bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching required
Full range of peripheral vision to pick up and hang live birds
Tolerate dark/dusty environments
Wear protective eyewear, bonnets, beard guard, dust mask (if desired), and proper footwear

Responsibilities

Hang live birds (3.5-6.5 pounds) onto overhead shackle line from live bird hanging conveyor at approximately 0.5 birds per minute
Retrieve birds from conveyor and hang by both legs in shackles at shoulder height, 16 inches from body
Control feed rate of hanging conveyor and flow of birds (for hanger at end of belt)
Transport DOAs and dump them onto dead bird take-away conveyor
Perform other duties as tasked by administration
