Requirements

  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willing to work 1st shift (approximately 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday), with possible variations in shift times and days based on production needs
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Must meet all job requirements within an 8-week training/qualification period
  • Must perform other duties as tasked by administration
  • Rehire restrictions: Subject to a 91-day wait period from last date of employment; ineligible if worked for Tyson Foods or affiliates 3 or more times

Responsibilities

  • Successfully train and qualify in entry-level, non-skilled general labor positions over an 8-week period while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Machine Feeder: Place product correctly onto conveyor belt feeding into machine; test machinery periodically; keep records of machine testing and failures
  • Wing Cutter: Remove wings from breast frame with minimal breast meat left on wing; grade off bad wings; place good wings on conveyor belt
  • Breast Trimmer: Remove boneless breast fillets from conveyor; trim bones, skin, and cartilage; place fillet back on conveyor
  • Breast Puller: Manually remove breast meat from frame using grasp, pull, and knife; inspect butterfly and frame; trim bones or designate for further inspection as needed; place on collection conveyor
  • Shoulder Cutter: Cut front half at shoulder joint to standard, ensuring pulley and scapula bones are clean with eye meat removed; pull to appropriate length for wing cut
  • Utility Labor: Maintain product flow; keep sufficient supplies; fill in for various line positions/tasks as needed
  • Tender Scorer/Puller: Cut breast tenderloin from breast shell without cutting into tender; remove any bones from tenderloin
  • Cone Stabber: Place front halves on debone cones correctly without missing, dropping, damaging ribs, or splitting keel bones
  • Backup Labor: Trained to perform all positions on the line
