Responsibilities
- Maintain safety of facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, proper forklift spotting, handling/disposing of hazardous materials, following steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management
- Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation in Freezer/Cooler/Deli area by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, receiving and stocking merchandise, setting up/cleaning/organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing/pricing merchandise, completing audits/paperwork/logs/documentation, and securing fragile/high-shrink merchandise
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing Deli products, resolving issues/concerns, and promoting company products/services
- Follow company policies/procedures for Freezer/Cooler area by complying with food handling policies, operating/repairing/sanitizing equipment, following Cold Chain procedures when stocking, cleaning freezer/cooler/deli area (e.g., windows, mirrors, display cases, coolers), monitoring fans/drains/doors, and reporting issues to Management
- Ensure high-quality products are taken care of and available for members
- Ensure shelves are clean, maintain temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lesser-quality food products
- Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area
