Requirements

Candidates must be a native Marathi speaker with C1+ level English proficiency, possessing 1-3 years of experience in subtitling, translation, dubbing translation/dubbing script creation, quality control, or another integral part of the localization process. They should demonstrate a passion for their native language and culture, including expert knowledge of lingo, slang, cultural references, and sensitivities, and be comfortable using OOONA for subtitle creation.

Responsibilities

As a Freelance Subtitler, the individual will be responsible for creating, editing, and delivering Marathi subtitles for MrBeast YouTube videos, receiving feedback from a Language Coordinator and implementing revisions within 24 hours. They will also assist in creating localized metadata, coordinate localization tasks with studio partners, and build familiarity with the Beast brand. Additionally, the role involves auxiliary translating of materials and maintaining clear communication with the Language Coordinator and CG Leadership.
