Requirements

Passionate about proactively detecting account takeover (ATO) and fraud
Skilled in minimizing losses, conducting in-depth investigations, improving appeals and remediation processes
Experience diving into data to spot trends using Looker and SQL, including visualization, dashboard, and querying capabilities
Ability to work hand-in-hand with teams across Customer Service, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations
Presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week (candidates within commutable distance preferred)

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive reviews and in-depth investigations into accounts for security or integrity concerns, analyzing identity information, sign-in activity, user behavior, and data points to identify fraudulent activity
Proactively identify emerging trends, patterns, and vulnerabilities through data analysis, translating insights into actionable recommendations for improving detection strategies and operational processes
Develop and implement robust measurement frameworks and QA processes for human review teams and automated fraud detection models, providing feedback for calibrations and process improvements
Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to provide operational insights and subject matter expertise for machine learning model development, deployment, and optimization
Act as a subject matter expert for new product launches and initiatives, assessing risks, providing input on design, and supporting development of controls
Drive operational improvements to enhance defenses and customer experiences
