Requirements

Candidates must have a BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in FP&A, finance, or related areas, preferably in a tech/venture-backed/growth-stage startup. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets financial modeling skills and experience with FP&A forecasting tools are required, along with bilingual proficiency in Mandarin. The position requires working in the Pacific timezone and the flexibility to work beyond standard hours during critical cycles, adjusting work hours as needed to support business priorities across different time zones.

Responsibilities

The FP&A Analyst will track and analyze operating expenses against budget/forecast, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization across R&D, G&A, S&M, and Ops, while also supporting the understanding of revenue and gross margin drivers. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and maintenance of key FP&A deliverables such as monthly forecasts, Board of Directors presentations, and annual budgets. The role involves partnering with department heads to build financial reports and provide data-based decision support, contributing financial expertise to cross-functional projects, and evaluating initiatives to drive growth and operational efficiency.
