Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant experience
Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools
Understanding of how technical decisions impact the user of what you’re building
Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals
Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users
Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision
Willingness and interest to travel as needed up to 50%

Responsibilities

Solve real problems by searching for the highest impact problems, spending time with customers to understand their true nature, coming up with new ways to address them, and persisting until impact is achieved
Work on-site shoulder to shoulder with clients (e.g., predictive maintenance on US Navy ships, aiding the Air Force, boiler inspections) to solve hard problems using available tools and technologies
Leverage data and insight from team members across Gecko to build the best possible solutions for clients
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and pick up new technologies as needed
Travel often to client sites to firsthand experience and address their problems
