Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language
  • Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to move repetitively, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouching
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Compliance with cleanroom requirements: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair; no contact lenses (prescriptive glasses provided)
  • Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Availability for 3rd shift (nights)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and inspect equipment for use in chemical and bio-formulations
  • Set up pumps, filters, tubing connections, and mixers
  • Follow SOPs to calculate the amount of chemical needed to formulate
  • Weigh and mix chemicals with diluents under controlled conditions
  • Document steps accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance
  • Continuously monitor product for defects
  • Help improve the production process by making suggestions for improvement
  • Clean and maintain equipment and workspace
  • Assist in the training and development of peers
