Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language
Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to move repetitively, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouching
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
Compliance with cleanroom requirements: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair; no contact lenses (prescriptive glasses provided)
Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
Availability for 3rd shift (nights)

Responsibilities

Prepare and inspect equipment for use in chemical and bio-formulations
Set up pumps, filters, tubing connections, and mixers
Follow SOPs to calculate the amount of chemical needed to formulate
Weigh and mix chemicals with diluents under controlled conditions
Document steps accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance
Continuously monitor product for defects
Help improve the production process by making suggestions for improvement
Clean and maintain equipment and workspace
Assist in the training and development of peers
