Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Prior forklift experience or the ability to quickly learn the skill
  • Good communication skills
  • Makes safety a priority
  • Has an understanding of cGMP’s (current good manufacturing practices)
  • Able to self-direct work
  • In compliance with federal law, verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to work OT during the week and on weekends

Responsibilities

  • Material supply to production areas and related activities
  • Incoming material receipt and storage
  • GMP cleaning
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
  • Supply materials in a timely manner to the customer
  • Assist in the unloading of various materials
  • Effectively utilize the MITS (Material Inventory Tracking System) to locate and deliver items based on FEFO (First Expiration, First Out)
  • Effectively utilize MITS to accurately scan materials when moved – materials are in the location they are scanned to
  • Read a production schedule and use to anticipate the needs of the customer
  • Drive a forklift safely and effectively, moving a variety of load types, using various storage methods (stacking, drive-in racks, push back racks, etc) without damage to material or facility
  • Understand and adhere to all storage requirements including allergen, plastics, oils, etc
  • Accountable for meeting compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures
