Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of trade compliance experience; FTZ administration and/or Licensed Customs Broker credentials are desirable
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and advanced aptitude for working across multiple systems; SAP, IP FTZ, and WMS.net software knowledge highly beneficial
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a process-oriented approach; effective problem solver
Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven team player who can also work well independently and consistently achieve commitments
Familiarity with distribution, transportation, and warehousing operations is helpful
Background screening through Immigration and Customs Enforcement is required
Responsibilities
Manage and process daily FTZ Admissions (CF214) and weekly filings (3461, 7501), ensuring accurate Customs documentation and compliance
Retrieve, print, and distribute shipping documents from Cargo Manager or email to support daily zone admissions
Maintain accurate records of product movements into and out of the FTZ, ensuring proper Customs filings and compliance
Perform daily inventory reconciliation between SAP and FTZ software and troubleshoot discrepancies in collaboration with warehouse and MRP systems
Support FTZ software implementations, including working alongside the FTZ Manager to support compliance in opening and managing Northlake and Hagerstown DC and other locations as needed
Maintain and retain FTZ files and records in accordance with Customs law, including weekly electronic backups
Manage exports from FTZ (CF7512) and consult with DC personnel on export procedures and documentation
Provide quarterly Harbor Maintenance Fee payments and participate in quarterly internal audits of Zone operations, reporting results to management
Follow and maintain SOPs for FTZ tasks, update the Operations Manual and exhibits, and maintain an audit system to verify site compliance
Monitor FTZ savings, provide annual FTZ reports (Yearly Blanket CBP form 216, Annual Reconciliation, Certification Letter, FTZ Board Report), and act as liaison with other functional areas to ensure accurate FTZ reporting and compliance
