Requirements

Adheres to USV/FMCNA Compliance Program, regulatory requirements, and state/federal regulations
Works under direct supervision of Facility Manager or Chief Radiology Technologist
Maintains sterile technique during procedures
Complies with HIPAA policies for patient confidentiality
Practices within scope of practice and state regulations for tasks like preparing/administering medications
Ability to perform physical demands: patient positioning, transfers, transport, shaving, prepping
Capable of inspecting, maintaining, and performing minor repairs on equipment
Handles hazardous waste, dirty linen, and instrument sterilization

Responsibilities

Assists with maintenance and setup of procedure room per policies and regulations
Stocks procedure room, trays, and stock room with supplies and equipment
Cleans procedure room, equipment, and machinery post-procedure
Prepares patient for procedures (positioning, shaving, prepping)
Performs scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy
Assists physician as scrub assistant, draws up and labels IV medications
Prepares and administers medications within scope of practice
Performs patient transfers, positioning, and transport
Maintains environmental integrity, cleanliness, and safety of facility
Inspects equipment daily, documents issues, and communicates problems
Assists with disposal of hazardous waste, linen, and rugs
Supports instrument sterilization and packaging
Manages supplies efficiently to prevent wastage, including inventory and ordering
Provides quality patient care, supports CQI, and meets regulatory standards
Maintains medical and operational records, complies with data collection/auditing
Provides clerical support: ensures instruments/equipment availability, prints/sends images, files paperwork, processes x-rays, archives images
Assists with training/orienting new employees
Participates in regulatory/accreditation surveys and action plans
Performs additional tasks as designated by physician or supervisor
